MERIT HAS BEEN COMPROMISED

FOLLOWING WRITEUP SHOWS HOW MERIT HAS BEEN COMPROMISED WHEN IT CAME TO GENERAL CANDIDATES:

A Portion of General List of 2007 Examination

SL.NO RANK NAME CATEGORY
272 494 RAVI KIRAN EDARA General
273 495 VAGEESH TIWARI General
274 502 ANJANA VASHISHTHA General
275 503 D DIVYA General
276 505 ABHISHEK SINHA General
Physically Handicapped
277 511 SATYANJAL PANDEY General (P.H)
278 554 ANKUR ALYA General (P.H)

From the above table it is CLEAR that a general candidate ranked as low as 505 has been selected and shown at 276th place in General list. (Here the selection of physically handicapped candidates is not disputed) . This shows how the merit has been compromised by allowing vertical upward movement of remaining general candidates who took up positions in place of displaced OBC/SC/ST. We know, the last OBC candidate in OBC list is 540. It is apprehended, when the 2nd phase results would be announced, which would predominantly consist of General candidates, the cut off mark of General might be lower than cut off mark of OBC .
